Do Nothing and Calm Your Adrenals

Calm Adrenals help heal your Thyroid
Do Nothing at Our Lady of Mercy to Calm your Adrenals

Almost all thyroid imbalances are matched with an adrenal imbalance. They go hand in hand. Sometimes this is not the case, and it can be from a toxic overload, but see the adrenal connection, and science supports this. Over the years, as a thyroid health coach, general patterns and consistencies of client's behaviors, personalities, life-styles, nutrition, and blood work have emerged. These almost always point to the adrenals.

I absolutely adore my clients. I understand, how a thyroid imbalance makes it an absolute struggle to function in a busy, full life. I've actually healed from a thyroid imbalance myself.

Most of my clients are women who live busy, full lives. These ladies have it together. They are women you want on your team. They ask for help when they need it, and they do the hard, consistent work of healing.

The adrenals are very small triangular shaped glands located on the top of each kidney. They produce the hormones cortisol, adrenaline, and aldosterone, which are essential for metabolism, managing stress responses, and maintaining electrolyte balance.

The adrenals and the thyroid are both part of the endocrine system. Therefore, when imbalanced, the adrenals can suppress thyroid function, leading to symptoms such as fatigue and weight gain. Additionally, adrenal imbalances can sometimes mimic thyroid issues, causing some confusion in diagnosis.

Symptoms of Adrenal Imbalance

Insomnia

Being a slow starter

Headaches after exercise

Craving salty foods

Perspire easily

Panic attacks and/or anxiety

Seasonal or chronic allergies

Chronic fatigue

Negative symptoms of menopause or peri-menopause

Calming your adrenal glands involve rest and relaxation. One of my favorite things to recommend is to "Do Nothing", which unfortunately is nearly impossible for the busy ladies I described above! So, as a thyroid health coach, I help these angels on earth form new habits for their stress management, nutrition, sleep, physical movement, and mindfulness practices. Balancing your thyroid is a constant journey of habit and choice with the goal always to feel good and be symptom free!
